How To Build A List Of Buyers

List building is crucial to your success if you are marketing online. It should be your top priority to build a highly responsive list. It doesn’t matter if you are just an affiliate building content sites, or a cpa marketer. When you own a list you own your own traffic source.

What is the best way to build a highly responsive list? The answer is simple, build a list of buyers.

You want to generate leads that can make a purchase. There is a huge difference between freebie seekers and people who spend money to make their business better, or get an instant solution to their problem.

In today’s post I want to talk about building a list of buyers. There is nothing wrong of course with giving away free stuff to build a list of prospects, because some of them will eventually convert into buyers if you know how to build a relationship with them. But it’s a lot easier to make money if you concentrate on getting buyers on your list instead.

The process is quite simple too. You create something to sell and when people make a purchase they get added to your autoresponder automatically.

The people who buy stuff from you are usually more serious about their business and pay more attention to your emails. List of buyers generates less spam complaints too. Freebie seekers usually forget that they opted in to your list and if you don’t communicate with them after a while they will start marking your emails as spam. Trust me I know that from experience.

So let’s talk about how you can easily start building a list of buyers so that you can make heck of a lot more money online.

1. Create a product to sell – Duh! When you sell your own products you not only make money from your sales but also from your buyer’s list so basically you get paid to build a highly responsive list. There are many different strategies to sell stuff online. I actually made a post about how to make money with Clickbank, where I outline a simple process on how to sell products through their platform.

Why do you want to sell through Clickbank? Because of their affiliate base of course. You want to leverage other people’s efforts. They will drive traffic for you while you simply worry about conversions. When you have affiliates driving traffic for you your list grows much faster than when you solely depend on your own marketing giving away a freebie.

It’s really not that hard to create something to sell. Guys, the content is already out there and it’s free. All you have to do is research it and package it nicely into an ebook or report. You can also develop software which is the best way if you are not a good sales man, because selling software doesn’t require you to sell your visitors on the fact that you are the right person to teach them.

When I buy an info product I look at it as I am paying the creator for the time he put into development. I know most of the stuff is free out there, but I am lazy and want someone to just give me the best info that actually matters.

I am not telling you to create high priced products either. Low cost products are great producers and build a nice size list fast. I sell a product for $5.97 lol I don’t make any money from it because I offer 100% commission. You could create a simple 20 page report and sell it for $7. Get yourself a script that allows you to run 100% commission affiliate program (7 dollar script, Rapid Action Profits) and start recruiting affiliates to promote it.

There are hundreds if not thousands of great PLR products that you can use to create these little low cost cash machines. You just need to stop being lazy and take action!

2. Create free bonuses for product owners – This strategy is wicked and it works quite well. The concept is very simple. You create a high value product and offer it to a product owner who does high volume sales as a bonus to his customers.

Gurus have been using this technique totally under the radar and making tons of money from it. I am sure you have seen their bonuses on some of the paid products you have bought in the past.

All you have to do is create a simple 3-4 part video course and create a nice simple members area. Then create an optin page or better yet a registration page and contact a product owner asking him to include a link to your bonus on his thank you page. So basically now you are collecting his buyer leads without actually selling anything.

A nice bonus like that shouldn’t take longer than 2 hours to set up. Imagine your link on thank-you pages of 5-10 products with high volume sales.

The only downside to this strategy is that most marketers in the IM niche will not go for that unless you have an existing list so you can promote for them and get inside their inner circle. But this technique is still very effective in other niches.

The above strategies I just gave you are excellent to start producing a list of buyers instead of freebie seekers.

1000 buyers on your list could be more valuable than a list of 10,000 prospects who never bought a thing from you. Now just picture how much money you could make with a list of 10k buyers as an affiliate.

If you want to break into the inner circles of high profile JV partners then you need to start building your list of buyers as soon as possible. It’s very easy to create low cost products so start creating some content and sell it.

If you don’t know how to create killer content then check out this WSO from Steve Benn. It has some very cool tips on how to produce high quality content literally out of thin air. You don’t have to spend hours each day for weeks or months to create $2000 courses 🙂 In one afternoon you could have your own little cash machine set up ready to go.

  1. Glad to hear that Sarah. Take action and you will get the results you want if you stick with it. The first step is always the hardest part. Once you get going and gain momentum it will snowball from there.

  2. Lekky, don’t think it’s that hard. It’s quite simple if you just take one step at a time. What’s the worst that can happen?
