I am sure most of you who visit my site bought video products before from other marketers. Video products have higher perceived value than ebooks or some reports so that’s why people charge more for videos.
Video products are also easier to create than ebooks in my opinion. Would you rather sit and write 100 pages of content or would you rather record 10 videos showing slides while you are talking?
I know there are people out there scared of creating videos for many different reasons but it’s really not that hard and I am going to show you how easy it actually is.
To create videos you need the right tools of course. I use PowerPoint and Camtasia Studio 7. For some those tools might not be cheap, but you can get fully working trial of both and create your product within that trial period 🙂
You can download Camtasia from here
You can download PowerPoint from here
Now, you need to come up with a plan what your product is actually going to be about. Open up Word and first come up with 10 titles.
For example, let’s say I want to create a video course about “how to create video products” lol
Here is how my outline would look like
– Intro (talk about what is going to be covered inside the course)
– The tools you need
– Finding a good niche to get into
– Creating your outline
– Creating PowerPoint slides for your first video
– Advanced PowerPoint tricks
– Recording your video
– Editing the video
– Producing the video and uploading it to your server
– Delivering the videos to your customers
Simple huh? I came up with that in less than a minute 🙂 It would be funny if someone actually swiped it and created it. I am sure it would be a good product that people would be willing to pay money for.
So moving along, after you have your outline you should write 5 more points for each title that you are going to cover inside the video. This is going to help you stay on track and it will make the entire process so much easier.
Next, you need to open up PowerPoint and create your slides for the first video. This is probably the only difficult part if you haven’t done it before, so I created a video for you below to show you how easy it is 🙂
As you can see it’s really easy! Now once you have your slides created just open up Camtasia Studio and record it while you are talking and changing slides. To do that you simply click the “Slide Show” tab in PowerPoint then click the “From Beginning” button and hit record on your Camtasia screen recorder.
Also the new PowerPoint has some really cool transition effects that you can add to your slides which I forgot to show in the video.
Once you are finished save it for editing and then just repeat the process for all videos you are going to create.
Each video shouldn’t take you longer than 20 minutes to record. Do 1-2 videos per day and within 5-10 days you have a ready-to-go video product that you can sell and make money with.
Hope this helps
By the way, I use Presenter Media to get really cool images for my presentations (it’s not an affiliate link)
